Succumbing to intense pressure from the public and the media, the Delhi Police on Monday announced setting up of a special investigation team to probe the Jessica Lall murder case all over again.
It is good that after intense public, media (both electronic and print), the Delhi Police has finally decided to act on the Jessica Lall murder case. Will the inquiry this time will be fair and fast? Only time will tell. I was amused to read that after his acquittal, Mr Manu Sharma, the main accused, and his father, who is a minister in Haryana Government, Mr Venod Sharma, had gone to Vaishno Devi. Well, the poor pepole think the god is on their side, but the rich people know the god is on their side.
Meanwhile the investigators in the death of Diana, Princess of Wales, in a car crash in 1997 may conclude that it was an accident, as per this article in The Guardian.
