With Google one can search anything, even a sock which you misplaced some weeks ago, and had suddenly pine for it (sorry made up the sock part). Google has also come out with its calendar service which is
http://www.google.com/calendar but is available only for gmail users.

Why is Google doing it, obviously because it loves us all, and wants us all to be happy. But use only Google services :)
